Roadmapping event marks the beginning of a national strategy for laser-based production

Representatives from the Laser-based production community met at the Institute of Physics in London yesterday to begin the development of a UK roadmap for Laser-based production.  The event organised jointly by the Centre for Laser-based Production Processes and AILU (Association of Industrial Laser Users) drew on information provided by laser users, laser and system suppliers and researchers in the area to identify the key opportunities and the technological input required to realise them.

Centre for Laser-based Production Processes at MACH 2014

The Centre for Laser-based Production Processes will be present at MACH 2014 at the NEC in Birmingham.  MACH 2014 is the UK’s largest event for Manufacturing Technologies. Over five days, more than 20,000 visitors will see some 500 exhibitors putting their latest technologies and innovations through their paces.

International Symposium on Additive Manufacturing @Taiwan

Organised by the British Trade & Cultural Office (BTCO), Additive Manufacturing Association of Taiwan (AMAT) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), the 1st Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing International Conference was held at NTUST in Taipei on 3 March 2014. This conference convened international academic representatives and AM vendors together to present the most up-to-date technology, application and market trends.
