Centre supports new Centre for Doctoral Training in Additive Manufacturing

Dr Chris Sutcliffe is part of a team led by the University of Nottingham that has been awarded an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Additive Manufacturing.

"The primary objective of the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Additive Manufacturing (AM) and 3D Printing (3D) is to produce research leaders to tackle the major scientific and engineering challenges over the next 10-15 years in enabling Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing to play a prominent role in manufacturing, providing the people and talent to fuel this new industrial revolution. These challenges encompass a wide range of scientific disciplines from chemistry and physics to computer science, engineering and bio-materials in order for AM and 3DP to be successfully adopted as a technology that can enable almost every sector of society and business i.e. aerospace through to medicine."

More information on the Centre and how to get involved is available here.
