Breakthrough Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Professor Chris Sutcliffe was invited to present at the above event last November in Cambridge which concentrated on:

Change is coming at an accelerated rate: new technologies emerge and scale faster than ever before, and new types of companies are challenging the status quo in virtually every sector. Companies must be willing to embrace change and deliver more sustainable outcomes through breakthrough in technology and business models that are adapted to tomorrow’s economy.

TedX and CIM-Laser

TedX came to visit Heriot-Watt again last month and Dr Richard Crater presented an excellent talk on "Ultrafast Laser Processing" that appealed to an audience of all ages and abilities.

New in the Newsroom....

Dr Richard Carter has had an article published in the SPIE Newsroom - "Joining in the "un-joinable" with ultrafast light", a project funded by EPSRC and also one of our Industrial Partners, Leonardo.

This paper was presented at the SPIE Security and Defence Conference by Dr Carter in September.
